# Join or Request to Join a Shared World

> Accept an invitation or request access to a public Shared World.

Join through a direct invitation, or request access from a public World when the owner allows requests.

## Accept or decline an invitation

1. Tap the notification bell.
2. Find and open the World invitation.
3. Tap **Accept** or **Decline**.
4. If accepted, wait for the World to load.
5. Open **Worlds** > **Joined Worlds** to find it again.

Your visible edit and member controls depend on the role and permissions assigned by the owner.

## Request to join a public World

1. Open the public World.
2. Open its action sheet.
3. Tap **Request To Join**.
4. Follow the confirmation shown in the app.
5. Wait for the owner to respond.

The request option only appears when the World owner has enabled requests.

## Find owned, joined, and contributed Worlds

Open **Worlds**, then choose:

- **My Worlds** for Worlds you own.
- **Joined Worlds** for Worlds where you are a member.
- **Contributed Worlds** for public Worlds containing your accepted contributions.
