# Use AI Voice and Chat Animation

AI Voice reads Character responses aloud. Chat Animation controls how text appears while the Character responds.

## Choose an AI Voice

1. **Open a Character chat.** Open Chat Settings.
2. **Tap AI Voice.** Filter voices by Gender or Age when helpful.
3. **Browse voices and their tags.** Select the voice that fits the Character.
4. **Review the live Mana information.** Use the amount currently shown in the selector.
5. **Return to the chat.** Send a message to hear the selected voice.

## Change chat animation

1. **Open Chat Settings.** Tap **Animation**.
2. **Choose Off, Typewriter, or Segment Fade.** Return to the chat.
3. **Send a message.** Confirm the response presentation feels comfortable.

> Tip: Choose Off when you prefer reduced visual movement or want the complete response to appear without an animation effect.

## Troubleshooting

### Voice does not play

Confirm the device is not muted, media volume is audible, and a voice is selected. Try another voice if the current provider is temporarily unavailable.

### Animation is distracting

Set Animation to **Off**. This changes presentation, not the content of the response.
