# Use Chat Actions and Generated Images

Chat actions help continue a response, generate an image, or guide what happens next without leaving the conversation.

## Use a chat action

1. **Open a Character chat.** Go to the point where you want the action.
2. **Tap the purple three-dot button.** It appears beside the message field.
3. **Choose an action.** Select **Continue Message**, **Generate Image**, or **Action**.
4. **Complete the prompt shown.** Submit any detail the selected action requests.
5. **Review the result in the chat.** Generated images and Character responses appear in the conversation.

## Generate an image in chat

Choose **Generate Image**, describe the moment or subject when prompted, and review the result in the conversation. Check the live Mana information before confirming any paid action.

> Note: A generated chat image belongs to the conversation. Use the Summon image editor when you want to add or manage images on the Character itself.

## Troubleshooting

### An action is unavailable

Confirm the previous response has finished and that the chat is still active. Available actions can depend on the current message and chat state.

### An image does not match the scene

Try again with a shorter description that names the Character, action, setting, and visual mood.
