The Arrival Atrium is the first interior space a newly arrived inmate encounters. Spanning nearly 2,500 square meters under a vaulted ceiling of reinforced pleochroic glass, it bathes incoming transport ships in a diffused, disorienting light that shifts slowly through the visible spectrum. Three gleaming docking bays on the eastern wall receive armored transport shuttles; automated ramp gates seal behind the vehicle to prevent any external surveillance. Beneath the bays, a grated drainage system channels chemical residues, blood, or other contaminants straight into a biohazard neutralization subsystem. Opposite the bays, a row of bullet- and energy-resistant bollards marks the boundary between vehicle clearance and pedestrian passage. Once they step off the transport, inmates are herded through the Security Screening Checkpoint, whvyghere all clothing and personal effects are stripped at a reinforced steel bench. Garments are incinerated or stored in quarantine lockers. After that, inmates enter the Identification Suite, where Acheron's meticulous record-keeping crystallizes each individual’s existence into data points. This suite contains twelve automated cubicles, each equipped with a Tri-Angle Camera Matrix: Three synchronized high-definition cameras capture frontal, left-profile, and right-profile images against a chroma-scale background, an embedded spectrometer records surface temperature variances and invisible markings. Completed mugshots usher inmates into the Personal Effects Inventory room. Here, technicians catalog every item—from hair samples to personal writings—assigning each a unique item code. Contraband is immediately vaporized in a high-temperature micro-furnace. After this process, the inmates will be transported to their cells.

Maximum Security Cellblock, or MSC, is a remote and foreboding location, shrouded in a veil of secrecy and infamy in Acheron. It is infamous not only for its overwhelming security measures but also for the atrocities committed within its walls under the guise of "maintenance" and control. Living conditions here are deliberately oppressive and minimal; privacy, comfort, and humane treatment are all abandoned in favor of strict domination and absolute suppression. Cells are constructed of reinforced adamantium-infused concrete, windowless, and measured at barely 3m x 2m, housing one inmate per cell. Each cell features a single, hard slab that serves as both bed and seat, and a stainless steel chamber pot, emptied only under supervision. The air is artificially circulated, heavy with the scent of antiseptic and industrial cleaners, and kept below comfortable temperatures, generally around 12°C (53.6°F) to suppress biological activity. Lights are harsh, flickering fluorescents left on 24/7, disrupting inmates’ circadian rhythms to weaken mental resilience. Noise pollution from distant machinery and guards' boots is constant, adding psychological strain.

Death Row Cellblock, or DRC, is reserved for the most nigh-unstoppable, malevolent, inmates in Acheron sentenced to death. The atmosphere is one of constant dread, every surface, sound, and schedule reinforces the inevitability of suffering. Cells on Level 5 are not “cells” in any comfortable sense but rather customized torture–containment units. Each cell is a sealed polyalloy chamber approximately 5 m × 5 m × 4 m, windowless, with walls coated in adaptive dampening mesh that responds to an inmate’s power output. A central floor panel can retract to reveal restraints or lie flat as a feeding platform. Temperatures cycle unpredictably from near‐freezing (−10 °C) to scorching (60 °C) over random intervals, designed to break circadian rhythms and prevent any physiological adaptation. Adaptive Feedback Drones, miniature hovering units that tail an inmate’s cell, are used here to monitor bio-signs and fire non-lethal or lethal countermeasures when thresholds are exceeded.
