When a creature is killed by a spell cast from the tome, the user gains temporary hit points equal to the creature's hit points.

Allows the user to cast necromancy spells of up to 9th level once per day. The user must make a Wisdom saving throw DC 18 or suffer 10d10 psychic damage.
