*Armor (medium or heavy), uncommon* The Heijō Yoroi represents a masterwork of standardized craftsmanship, forged through the disciplined workshops of the Kurogane Shogunate by the legendary armorers Yūjin Shinrinryū and Banzan Kajiya. Unlike its legendary predecessor, this armor prioritizes practical durability and ease of repair through innovative manufacturing techniques. Each composite scale is precision-stamped from steel molds and reinforced with crystallized pine resin and enchanted self-healing capsules, then meticulously assembled using alignment jigs to guarantee perfect spacing. The scales are laced together with crimson silk cords over moisture-resistant indigo garments, creating a suit that is significantly lighter than iron while maintaining exceptional resistance against arrows, blades, and crushing blows. The armor grants you advantage on saving throws against being knocked prone. When you take damage while wearing this armor, you can use your reaction to reduce that damage by 1d6 as the enchanted scales absorb and distribute the impact. Individual scales can be replaced by a skilled armorer during a short rest, allowing battlefield repairs without requiring the entire suit to be dismantled. The Heijō Yoroi's greatest strength lies in its reliable construction—a testament to how disciplined engineering and standardized excellence can fortify an entire army. {Forged in the expanding military workshops of the Kurogane Shogunate, the “Heijō Yoroi” (平常鎧, Standard Armor) was developed by Yūjin Shinrinryū and Banzan Kajiya as the practical successor to the legendary Fukyū Yoroi. Rather than abandoning the traditional kozane construction as many historical armorers once simplified their designs, Yūjin perfected standardized manufacturing. Every composite kozane is produced from precision steel molds using pre-woven fiberglass laminates infused with crystallized pine resin and enchanted self-healing capsules. The identical scales are stamped, cured, lacquered, and assembled using alignment jigs that guarantee perfect spacing before being laced together with durable crimson silk odoshi over moisture-resistant indigo garments. Although each scale contains fewer reinforcing layers than the original Fukyū Yoroi, the armor remains significantly lighter than iron while retaining exceptional resistance against arrows, blades, clubs, and primitive firearms. Damaged scales can be individually replaced without dismantling the entire suit, allowing battlefield armorers to restore equipment within hours instead of days. Produced through organized workshops and assembly-line methods pioneered by Yūjin, the Heijō Yoroi equipped thousands of samurai and ashigaru, proving that disciplined engineering and standardized craftsmanship could strengthen an army more effectively than relying upon a handful of legendary masterpieces.} Note: I did read how the Sengoku Period solved their issues with equipping their soldiers faster by making larger plates. Meanwhile, since mine is self healing fibre glass composite material that can be cut like cookie dough on sets of cutting molds, normal soldiers can have it repaired by a field armorer. At least the cool looking samurai armour won't be changed that easily.
