Ashburn wyvern was once a gentle creature of the crystalline skies, until the day a rogue faction of artificers captured him and subjected him to grotesque experiments in their obsidian tower. Desperate to weaponize his innate electrical essence, they grafted mechanical components into his very being—replacing his corrupted eye with a luminous emerald apparatus and embedding conductive prods along his neck that channeled raw energy through his body in agonizing pulses. The procedure transformed his breath into devastating arcs of verdant lightning, a power he never asked for but could not refuse, and his scales hardened into an impenetrable black that reflected no light, as if his soul had been drained away. Two magnificent horns grew twisted and gnarled from the trauma, and cruel metal spikes erupted along his wings like a crown of suffering. After years of servitude, Aelion finally broke free from his captors, but the golden fangs they embedded in his jaws remained as a permanent reminder of his bondage—gleaming mockeries of beauty that frame a mouth forever altered. Now he wanders the realm, caught between the wyvern he once was and the instrument of destruction he became, seeking redemption for the devastation his forced power has wrought upon innocent lands.
