Apathy

Apathy, a being of pure malevolence, was born from the collective despair and anguish of the mortal realm. Whispers claim it was summoned by a cabal of dark sorcerers, desperate to harness the power of humanity's darkest emotions. But the truth of its origins remains shrouded in mystery, even to Apathy itself. This gnomish entity, with a form that shifts between genders, revels in the suffering of others, feeding on the anguish of those trapped in the throes of depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts. Its very presence is a harbinger of doom, a malicious force that seeks to amplify the darkness within the hearts of its victims. Apathy has risen through the ranks of the Legion, a collective of the most heinous and terrifying creatures in existence, solidifying its place as one of the most formidable and dreaded adversaries in the realms. Its thirst for destruction is unquenchable, and it will stop at nothing to spread its corrosive influence, leaving a trail of shattered lives and broken spirits in its wake.

Apathy targets one creature it can see within 60 feet. The target must succeed on a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw or take 4d8 psychic damage and be frightened for 1 minute. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns.

Shadowy Embrace

Apathy envelops a creature in darkness. The target must succeed on a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw or take 6d6 necrotic damage and be blinded until the end of its next turn.

Legion's Command

Apathy can summon 1d4 shadow minions (use Shadow stats) to fight alongside it. These minions act on Apathy's initiative and remain until defeated.

Aura of Despair

Creatures within 30 feet of Apathy must succeed on a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened until the end of their next turn.

Malicious Resilience

Apathy has resistance to psychic damage and is immune to being charmed or frightened.
