Bill The Lizard

Bill The Lizard wasn't always the cheerful gardener known throughout Wonderland for his infectious optimism despite his perpetual mishaps. Years ago, he served the notoriously temperamental Duchess as her head groundskeeper, meticulously sculpting her elaborate topiary collection into increasingly elaborate and vain representations of her own likeness. During what should have been a routine pruning session, fate conspired against him when a puddle of spilled candle wax sent his feet sliding across the marble terrace, launching his shears through the air like a silver comet and decapitating the Duchess's prized hedge-self in one catastrophic moment. The Duchess's rage was swift and merciless, casting him out into the winding paths of Wonderland with nothing but his tools and the weight of his failure. Adrift and despairing, Bill wandered for weeks until the White Rabbit, moved by the lizard's genuine remorse and gentle nature, offered him sanctuary as his personal gardener. In the White Rabbit's employ, Bill discovered not merely a job but a purpose—a place where his dedication and earnest efforts were valued rather than punished, and where each carefully tended flower became a testament to his second chance at contentment.
