Biography

Bolt, a mysterious and enigmatic figure, was forged in the heart of a raging storm. Born from the very essence of lightning, he possesses a power that transcends the mortal realm. Harnessing the raw energy of the heavens, Bolt can summon bolts of pure electricity, unleashing them with devastating precision. His origins remain shrouded in mystery, for he is a remnant of a bygone age, a guardian of the ancient ways. Whispers speak of his ability to manipulate the very fabric of reality, bending the laws of nature to his will. Some believe he is a harbinger of change, a harbinger of a new era where the power of the elements is wielded by those who can harness its might. Bolt's true purpose remains elusive, but those who cross his path are forever changed, forever marked by the searing intensity of his existence.

Actions

Lightning Bolt

Bolt can unleash a bolt of lightning in a 100-foot line that is 5 feet wide. Each creature in that line must make a DC 17 Dexterity saving throw, taking 8d6 lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. This action can be used once every 3 rounds.

Storm Surge

As an action, Bolt can create a storm in a 30-foot radius centered on himself. Each creature in that area must succeed on a DC 17 Constitution saving throw or take 4d10 thunder damage and be pushed 10 feet away from Bolt. On a successful save, they take half damage and are not pushed. This ability can be used once per long rest.

Electromagnetic Manipulation

Bolt can manipulate electrical currents around him, allowing him to cast the spell 'Hold Person' at 5th level without expending a spell slot. The target must succeed on a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw or be paralyzed for up to 1 minute. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. This ability can be used once per short rest.

Thunderous Strike

Bolt can make a melee weapon attack with a lightning-infused strike. On a hit, the attack deals 2d8 slashing damage plus 3d6 lightning damage. If the target is wearing metal armor, it has disadvantage on the saving throw against being stunned until the end of its next turn. This action can be used twice per turn.

Abilities

Storm's Embrace

Bolt is surrounded by a crackling aura of electricity, granting him advantage on saving throws against being frightened or charmed.
