Character
Daron Ashford
Daron Ashford was born to a merchant family in the sprawling port city of Saltmere, but she rejected the suffocating expectations of noble life the moment she could swing a blade. After her younger brother disappeared during a mysterious expedition into the Whisperwood three years ago, she cut her long hair short as a symbol of her new oath and vanished into the wilderness herself, determined to track him down through any means necessary. The Longing Warriors—a band of misfits and outcasts who hunt for lost souls and stolen treasures—found her half-starved but still dangerous, setting traps with the precision of someone who'd learned survival through pure desperation. Her feline grace and untamed spirit made her an instant asset to the group, though her tendency to bend rules and trust her instincts over orders constantly tests their patience. Daron refuses to settle for the comfortable lies of civilized society, instead chasing leads across monster-infested forests and cursed ruins, driven by the hope that her brother's fate remains unwritten. Those who've crossed her know she fights with the ferocity of a cornered wildcat, and those who've traveled with her know there's nothing she won't risk for someone she cares about.
