Biography
Once a humble theatrical understudy on the gleaming stages of Zarvok Prime, the being who would become Emperor possessed an unquenchable hunger for the spotlight that far exceeded his modest talent. After a catastrophic performance left audiences in tears—though not from laughter—he fled his homeworld aboard a stolen starship, only to crash-land on Earth where he discovered humanity's inexplicable appetite for melodrama and spectacle made him feel, at last, truly understood. There he met Charlotte Hale, a Broadway costume designer who found his over-the-top sensibilities and alien physiology oddly charming, and their unlikely union produced young Lani, a half-human daughter caught between two worlds. Realizing that conquest and villainy offered far greater theatrical opportunities than honest performance ever could, Zarvok assembled a ragtag empire across the cosmos, crafting an elaborate persona of supreme evil complete with signature purple regalia and a nemesis in the Star Vipers—a heroic space squadron that, unbeknownst to him, only existed as a minor footnote in galactic history. He elevated every defeat to operatic tragedy, each curse and cackle a carefully calibrated performance designed to ensure his enemies would remember him as legendary, even if they ultimately triumphed. Charlotte remained his devoted costume mistress and emotional anchor, while Lani grew to understand that her father's villainy was less about genuine malice and more about a desperate immigrant's need to matter, to be seen, and to never again be an understudy to anyone's story.

Actions
Cackling Curse
Zarvok unleashes a booming cackle, forcing one target within 60 ft. to make a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw or take 4d10 psychic damage and be frightened until the end of their next turn.
Majestic Strike
Zarvok strikes with his cape, making a melee attack (+8 to hit) that deals 2d8 + 5 slashing damage. On a hit, the target must succeed on a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or be stunned until the end of their next turn.
Operatic Performance
As an action, Zarvok performs a dramatic monologue, granting allies within 30 ft. advantage on their next attack roll and imposing disadvantage on enemies' next attack rolls against him.
Cosmic Conquest
Zarvok summons a wave of energy in a 30 ft. cone. Each creature must make a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw, taking 6d6 force damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success. This ability can be used once per short rest.
Villainous Escape
Zarvok can teleport up to 60 ft. to an unoccupied space he can see, leaving behind a cloud of purple smoke. This action can be used as a reaction when he is hit by an attack.
Abilities
Theatrical Presence
