Character
Gigi And Dagger, Memories Left For Dusk
Born in a broken family where her mother's infidelity with a demon lord had tainted her half siblings and left her father Gavin in the dark. Because of this Gigi became the unwitting subject of a misread prophecy that set her own siblings—Miregar and Rachelle—upon her like hunters after prey, forcing her into a life of shadows where trust became a luxury she could never afford. She survived through cunning and steel, drifting between taverns and wealthy estates, taking what she could and protecting those she pitied, until a hooded stranger named Maurice pressed a sealed letter into her hands at the Haughty Strays without a word. The letter revealed a truth that shattered her carefully constructed indifference: her father—the man she'd never known—had discovered the lie at the heart of her family and spent his final years loving her from a distance, leaving her his estate, his fortune, and most importantly, his sword and his faithful hound. With tears streaming down her face for the first time in memory, Gigi returned to her childhood home and found Dagger, the grey hound that seemed to have waited lifetimes for her arrival, standing vigil at her father's grave. The bond between them was immediate and unquestionable, as if the old dog recognized in her the same lonely soul he'd been guarding all these years. Now, with her father's blade at her side and Dagger's steadfast companionship warming her heart, Gigi journeys toward Credunt Insulis, a island that has recently begun circling around the taverns as a new land of promise. So with Dagger she walks towards a new chapter, carrying both the weight of her past and the unexpected gift of belonging, unaware her arrival is expected and her every footsteps have already been written by the Sister's of Woe.
