Character
Gildford Gattersnax
Gildford Gattersnax was once a mere scavenger prowling the refuse heaps of the Underdark, until the day he discovered a crystalline shard buried beneath centuries of detritus—a fragment of a fallen star that sang to his blood and awakened dormant arcane power within him. Rather than squander this gift on petty revenge or conquest like his kin, Gildford recognized an opportunity for something grander: he established his Goblin Emporium as a repository of curiosities, magical oddities, and rare goods, leveraging his newfound sorcerous abilities to authenticate and preserve items of genuine value. His meticulous cataloging system and fair dealings earned him a reputation that transcended goblin society, attracting merchants and adventurers who valued reliability over the typical goblin penchant for chaos and trickery. Though he maintains the appearance of an unremarkable goblin, those who conduct business with him quickly discover the iron will beneath his unassuming exterior—a being bound by codes of conduct and principle rather than whim. Gildford's Emporium thrives not through deception but through the simple power of honest commerce and the subtle magic that courses through his veins, making him an anomaly among his people and a fixture of surprising influence in the shadowed markets of the realm.
