Biography

The Hell Wolves were once ordinary timber wolves that roamed the Scorched Badlands until a meteorite containing an otherworldly parasitic organism crashed into their territory, infecting the entire alpha pack during a lunar eclipse. The infection twisted their biology in grotesque ways—their claws began growing to grotesque proportions, hardening into obsidian-like talons capable of tearing through stone, while their senses evolved beyond natural limits, allowing them to track prey across impossible distances and perceive heat signatures through solid rock. Unlike typical infected creatures that deteriorate into mindless beasts, the Hell Wolves retained their pack intelligence and cunning, using their enhanced abilities with calculated precision rather than feral abandon. The infection spread through their bloodline and to other packs through ritualistic battles and territorial disputes, transforming entire regions into hunting grounds ruled by these apex predators. Local legends speak of their howls causing avalanches and their mere presence corrupting the land, turning forests into barren wastelands where nothing else dares to hunt. Despite their monstrous nature, some whisper that deep within their alien-infected minds lies a fragmented memory of their former existence, driving them to return to their original den each winter solstice as if compelled by a ghost of their former nature. The Hell Wolves now exist in a state between natural predator and cosmic aberration, forever caught between two worlds.
