Kirian

Kirian was born beneath the perpetual dust storms of Aridus, a scorched world where the concept of rainfall exists only in faded historical texts and the fevered dreams of the eldest settlers. His father, Torven the legendary monster-slayer, carved a reputation across the fortified settlements by hunting the grotesque creatures that stalked the barren wastelands beyond the defensive walls, earning him the position of head hunter and a place of honor among the fearful masses. From his mother, Kael, Kirian inherited striking dark green eyes that seemed to hold impossible depths of longing, along with ash-brown hair that caught the rust-colored sunlight like burnished metal, but it was his father's iron will and corded strength that truly defined him. While Torven expected his eldest son to follow dutifully into the hunting trade and protect their settlement from the outside horrors, Kirian harbored a dangerous obsession with the world beyond the walls—not out of duty, but out of an insatiable hunger to discover why the rains had ceased and whether the myths of greener lands held any truth. His patchwork clothing, stitched together from scraps and worn blue fur, became a symbol of his restlessness, each repair a reminder of the mundane life he desperately sought to escape. Every night, while his father sharpened weapons and the settlement huddled behind their barriers, Kirian studied the monster attack patterns, mapped the safest routes through the wasteland, and dreamed of the day he would finally slip through the gates to seek what lay beyond the dying world he knew.
