Kito Quickhands

Kito Quickhands wasn't always the city's most unreliable source of truth—he was once a simple messenger monkey in the sprawling urban networks, ferrying packages between market stalls and administrative offices with remarkable speed and precision. His gift for remembering faces and connecting seemingly unrelated conversations eventually made him invaluable to merchants and merchants' rivals alike, each willing to pay handsomely for whispers about competitors' movements or lovers' indiscretions. Over time, Kito realized that the real profit lay not in accuracy but in the *appetite* for secrets, so he began embellishing, combining half-truths with pure invention, and selling the same story with different endings to different buyers. His reputation as a walking rumor mill grew so legendary that even the monkey-run city councils found his chaotic information streams oddly useful—three true rumors mixed with nine false ones created just enough confusion to keep rivals off-balance and markets unpredictable. Now, with paws in every marketplace and ears in every messenger hub, Kito operates in a gray zone of his own making, where nobody can quite tell if he's a master manipulator or simply too clever for his own good. The truth, as far as Kito is concerned, is merely the most entertaining story he hasn't sold yet.
