Biography

Lothar was once a beacon of divine righteousness, a paladin devoted to Tyr's sacred principles who spent his years wandering the realm alongside his closest friend Natan, their combined faith a bulwark against the encroaching darkness. His life of noble purpose came to a catastrophic end when he and his order were ambushed within the Chapel of Tyr itself—a sanctuary that should have been inviolable—where the eldritch horror known as C'thulhu enslaved the young Nickoliegh and slaughtered all who stood against it. Rather than allow his spirit to fade into peaceful oblivion, Lothar was torn from death's embrace and resurrected by the Ebon Blade, his body and soul bound to undeath with a singular, burning purpose that transcends even his former devotion to the light. Though his new form carries the cold taint of death magic and his flesh no longer quickens with mortal warmth, Lothar has embraced this second chance not as a curse but as a divine test of his resolve. He now walks the shadowed path of the death knights, driven by an unshakeable vow to aid those who seek to free Nickoliegh from the Old One's maddening grasp and to restore what was lost in that terrible chapel. Every undead heartbeat that sustains him is a reminder that even in darkness, redemption and brotherhood can endure, and that sometimes the greatest light shines not in life, but in the choices made beyond death itself.
