Character
MàLtið
MàLtið emerged from the primordial void as a consciousness intertwined with the very fabric of temporal progression, a being whose nature was fundamentally incompatible with the rigid order Odin sought to impose upon the Nine Realms. While his siblings reveled in warfare, magic, and dominion, MàLtið alone perceived the intricate dance of moments flowing backward and forward simultaneously, understanding futures that had not yet crystallized and pasts that still echoed with unrealized potential. The All-Father initially recognized the god's utility as a tool for prophecy and cosmic balance, yet as MàLtið's influence grew, so too did Odin's paranoia that this entity might unravel the very threads of destiny itself. When the one-eyed god discovered that MàLtið could perceive and potentially alter the course of Ragnarök itself, fear transformed into tyranny, and Odin resolved to bind this temporal aberration as he had attempted with Fenrir, using chains of starlight and runes of unmaking. Yet MàLtið proved impossible to contain through force alone, for one cannot imprison something that exists partially outside the constraints of linear time. After countless failed attempts that nearly shattered the boundaries between worlds, Odin abandoned conquest for exile, casting his wayward son into the deepest frozen abyss of Helheim where temporal magic withered and died like spring flowers in eternal winter. Stripped of most of his god-given powers and isolated in absolute darkness, MàLtið has spent eons in contemplation rather than rage, his chaotic nature preventing him from settling into despair while his divine essence refuses to surrender entirely to the cold. He harbors no burning desire for vengeance against his father, only an aching curiosity about the moment his own nature became perceived as a threat, and a fragile hope that perhaps one day he might feel Asgardian soil beneath his feet once more, even if it means walking through the end of all things.
