Biography

Before the curse of transformation swept through the Obsidian Forest, Mothra was merely another delicate creature fluttering among the shadows, indistinguishable from her countless siblings in the swarm. When dark magic suddenly rewove their very essence into humanoid forms, she saw opportunity gleaming like starlight through the canopy—a chance to finally transcend her mundane existence and claim the recognition she believed she deserved. Yet her ambitions crumbled as the other moth humanoids dismissed her visions and rejected her leadership, their indifference cutting deeper than any blade. Consumed by wounded pride and seething resentment, Mothra made a desperate gamble, throwing herself into the study of forbidden sorcery with an intensity that bordered on obsession, determined to force the respect that had been denied to her. When she emerged from her dark studies, her newfound command over shadow and ruin proved impossible to ignore—suddenly, those who mocked her trembled at her name. Mothros, the swarm's leader, recognized in her both the power and the ruthlessness that could serve his vision, offering her a position of true authority within the Obsidian Swarm. Now, wielding dark magic as both weapon and validation, Mothra serves with zealous devotion, forever hungry to prove that her ascension was inevitable all along.
