Nyara Mistveil

Born into the Shadow Pride during a rare eclipse that stained the sky crimson, Nyara emerged with an unusual gift—the ability to read the tremors in the earth and sense danger before it arrived, a talent she quickly learned to weaponize to protect her younger siblings from the pride's brutal hierarchy. Her stoic demeanor became legendary among her kin, a carefully constructed mask of indifference that concealed a heart burning with fierce devotion, though only those closest to her ever glimpsed the depth of her care. When her sister Zaria departed the pride years ago to forge her own path in distant lands, Nyara's protective instinct transformed into something more complex: an obsessive need to ensure her sibling's survival, manifesting through regular diplomatic visits that she framed as mere courier work for the Shadow Pride. These journeys became the only time Nyara allowed her carefully maintained composure to crack, if only in the privacy of her own thoughts, as she meticulously observed every detail of Zaria's circumstances, searching for threats both seen and unseen. Her family believes she has grown distant and cold, unaware that every message she delivers, every excuse she manufactures, every calculated visit represents an elaborate web of love woven by someone who has learned that true protection often requires the deepest deception.
