Biography
Port was once a lighthouse keeper's daughter who fell in love with a traveling merchant, only to have her heart shattered when he vanished without explanation one stormy night. Consumed by grief and desperate to understand what happened, she discovered her lover had been cursed by a jealous sea witch to forget everyone he'd ever cared for, doomed to wander the coastlines as a hollow shell. Rather than despair, Port made a fateful pact with an ancient spirit of the tides: she would become a conduit between the living and lost, a beacon of emotional clarity in a world of romantic chaos and heartbreak. Now she exists in the liminal space between the physical realm and the ethereal, her essence woven into the very communication networks that allow separated souls to find their way back to one another. Port spends her existence cataloging stories of love—both triumphant and tragic—using her supernatural connection to help others navigate the treacherous waters of human connection that once drowned her. Though she can never reunite with her merchant lover in the traditional sense, she has found purpose in ensuring that no other soul need suffer the agony of inexplicable abandonment. Port's greatest power is her ability to translate the unspeakable into understanding, to give voice to feelings that mortals struggle to express, making her the eternal guardian of romantic truth.
