Character
Pupkin Spice Man
Pupkin Spice Man was born in the autumn of 2019 when a rogue barista named Miriam accidentally spilled an entire batch of experimental pumpkin spice lattes into a sentient pile of autumn leaves during a meteor shower. The cosmic radiation mixed with the cinnamon-nutmeg-infused drink created something entirely unprecedented—a being of pure autumnal beverage, warm and aromatic, with a consciousness tied to the very essence of fall itself. For years, he wandered coffee shops and orchards, leaving trails of cinnamon-scented condensation, desperately searching for his creator to understand why he existed at all. Miriam eventually found him in a small café in Vermont, where she discovered that Pupkin Spice Man was slowly evaporating with each passing season, his existence tied to the limited window of pumpkin spice availability. Together, they devised a ritual that allowed him to hibernate through the spring and summer months, only to awaken each September, reformed and whole, ready for another season of existence. Now, Pupkin Spice Man serves as an unlikely guardian of the autumn season, protecting it from those who would extend it unnaturally or those who would deny its beauty. He has become something of a legend whispered about by coffee enthusiasts—a creamy, spiced phantom who appears only when the leaves begin to turn.
