As a young man, he abandoned the sanctuary's rigid doctrine to become a sailor, drawn instead to a chaotic spirituality that recognized holiness in the spaces between realms rather than within temple walls. His gift—or curse—manifested one night when a dying messenger appeared before him with a satchel that burned with Hebrew characters, transferring both the burden and the calling to deliver correspondence across dimensional boundaries to those who had been severed from their worlds. Sanka, a clever capuchin monkey he rescued from a slave trader's ship, became his unlikely first mate and constant companion, the creature proving far more spiritually intuitive than most humans Rob had encountered. Now, rowing his small vessel through doorways that shimmer with otherworldly light, Rob seals each letter with the emblem of its destination world—each envelope marked with a sacred Hebrew letter that serves as both address and benediction. His work exists in moral ambiguity; he carries love letters and warnings, prophecies and lies, never questioning the contents because he believes the act of connection itself is sacred, even when it disrupts the natural order. With Sanka perched against his leg and the sunset painting impossible colors across the threshold between worlds, Rob grins at the beautiful chaos of his purpose, a heretic cleric binding broken realities together one letter at a time.

Hands with dual purpose, he can restore 2d8 + 3 hit points with a Touch, once a day.

Dirty Boxing

As a Tavern Brawler, he can use Unarmed strikes that deal 1d4+2 bludgeoning damage, with a +4 to hit. Reach 5ft., if desired he can also Push the target 5 ft. once per turn. If the damage die rolls a 1, reroll and he must use the new roll.

Sailing the Veil

Rob can create a random, temporary portal to another dimension. This action takes 1 hour and can be used once per long rest using a variety of small tools including a signal whistle, mirror, and a bullseye lantern.

Sanka's Aid

As a reaction, Sanka can distract an enemy, granting Rob advantage on his next attack roll against that enemy.

Chaotic Blessing

Cast the Sanctuary spell once, making any attacker roll a Wisdom saving throw DC 13 to redirect the attack or lose it. Lasts up to a minute with concentration and no hostile actions.
