Biography
In an age of unbridled avarice, the great City gleamed with treasures beyond measure—gold veins running through its foundations, jewels embedded in every monument, precious metals adorning every structure. When greed-driven merchants and nobles systematically plundered these riches for distant lands, they left behind only hollow cavities and abandoned scraps, mountains of discarded rust and corroded iron deemed worthless. Yet the City itself possessed a dark consciousness, a collective anguish that transformed this refuse into something far more sinister—the Rust Parasite emerged as a writhing, invisible colony of sentient decay, a shapeshifting mass of corroded wires and oxidized fragments that fed upon the very materials humans had abandoned. As this entity grew, it developed a hunger for what it had lost, and wherever its tendrils reached, precious metals and gems crumbled into rust and were absorbed into its ever-expanding bulk, spreading contamination like a plague across the land. Only the FrankenGem, a noble minotaur forged from the City's most radiant materials, possessed the power to temporarily halt its advance through mystical fire and transmutation, yet each victory proved fleeting. For as long as humans continued their endless theft of the City's treasures, the Parasite would inevitably return—reformed, enlarged, and hungrier than before—ensuring an eternal cycle of corruption that no single hero could permanently break. The Beautiful Death faction celebrates this endless conflict, viewing the Parasite's inevitable resurgence as a poetic reckoning for humanity's insatiable greed.
