Over centuries, the Jade wings learned to manipulate their environment with surgical precision, choreographing elaborate hunts across frozen peaks and misty forests where avalanches and concealed chasms became their unwitting allies. Their emerald scales and ivory markings evolved as nature's own camouflage, allowing them to drift through storm clouds and shadow-dappled glades like living jade silk, while their prized fangs developed a luminescent quality that local artisans believed could ward off misfortune. When settlers moved from just survival to finally seeking progress and fortune, the Fangs retreated deeper into wilderness, their wariness born not from cowardice but from instincts as when flying serpents were hunted, they were hunted to near extinction by those who coveted their aromatic flesh and crystalline fangs. Yet the legend persisted—that those blessed by a Jade Wing Fang's shadow would prosper, a belief that only intensified the hunters' obsession with claiming pieces of these elusive apex predators.
