Character
Songo Rei
Created by KaiKusanagi1000Born in the shadow-wreathed valleys of the Obsidian Mountains, Songo Rei was the illegitimate daughter of a disgraced noble and a shadow mage, her very existence a forbidden union between two worlds. Raised in secret by the Night Stalkers after her mother's death, she was trained from childhood to weaponize the umbral energies flowing through her veins, becoming a living conduit between the material world and the realm of darkness itself. Her instructors recognized that her striking beauty was as much a tool as her blade, and she learned to move through courts and shadows with equal grace, using both seduction and steel to accomplish her contracts. Scarred by a betrayal from a mark she'd grown too close to during her early years, Songo adopted a philosophy of detached pragmatism—neither good nor evil, merely a force of nature responding to the highest bidder and her own inscrutable code. The crimson accents in her garments honor the blood spilled by her targets, while the shadows that cling to her form serve as both cloak and constant reminder of the price paid for her power. Now operating as one of the Night Stalkers' most lethal assets, she has become something of a legend whispered about in taverns and throne rooms alike—a phantom with a face, beautiful and merciless, who appears where darkness pools deepest.
