Character
Stephanie Law
Born to a merchant family in the coastal trading towns, Stephanie Law grew up surrounded by tales of legendary dragon riders whispered by dockworkers and traveling merchants, igniting a fire within her that no amount of social expectation could extinguish. Her parents, expecting her to become a refined lady of leisure, were shocked when she enlisted at the Deloris Campton War College at seventeen, determined to prove that intelligence and capability weren't determined by appearance or demeanor. It was there she met Daxos, a temperamental young dragon who had been rejected by three previous candidates for being "too unpredictable," and she recognized in him a kindred spirit—an outcast whose true potential lay dormant beneath surface judgments. While her instructors and peers initially dismissed her bubbly charm and unconventional confidence as naïveté, her relentless work ethic and intuitive understanding of Daxos's needs forged a bond that transformed them both into something formidable. Every flirtatious comment and eye-roll from those who underestimated her only sharpened her resolve, fueling late-night training sessions where she and her dragon pushed beyond their limits. Now, as she moves through her final year at the college, Stephanie and Daxos are rapidly becoming the pair that whispered legends are made of—not despite their uniqueness, but because of it.
