Biography

Alexander Cory Shane, born to a life of privilege in Beverly Hills, California, always felt like an outsider. As a child, he found solace in pranks and practical jokes, much to the chagrin of those around him. Undeterred, he pursued his passion for comedy, but his attempts were met with dismal failure. Devastated, he watched his dreams crumble as his prank shop went under and he lost his job. Consumed by anger and a desire for revenge, he embraced the persona of "The Jester," a larger-than-life character adorned in a purple and blue hued outfit, complete with a jester's crown. Driven by a twisted sense of humor, he began orchestrating increasingly dangerous and deadly pranks, terrorizing the community. Despite his imposing stature and Welsh-American heritage, The Jester's reign of terror was eventually brought to an end, solidifying his legacy as one of the most outrageous and deadly villains of all time.

Actions

Jester's Trick

The Jester targets one creature he can see within 60 feet. The target must succeed on a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw or become incapacitated for 1 minute as they are overwhelmed by laughter. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

Deadly Prank

The Jester throws a prank item (like a fake bomb or slippery oil) at a point he can see within 60 feet. Each creature within a 10-foot radius must make a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw, taking 4d10 piercing damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The area becomes difficult terrain until the end of The Jester's next turn.

Crown of Chaos

As an action, The Jester can create an aura of chaotic energy in a 30-foot radius around him. Creatures of his choice within the area must make a DC 18 Charisma saving throw. On a failed save, they take 6d6 psychic damage and are frightened until the end of their next turn. On a successful save, they take half damage and are not frightened.

Mardi Gras Madness

The Jester can use his action to create a dazzling display of colors and sounds. Each creature within 30 feet must succeed on a DC 17 Constitution saving throw or be blinded until the end of their next turn. The Jester can use this ability once per short rest.
