During a rare lunar eclipse, when the moon's shadow swallowed the night and magen surged through the very air itself, Nyra discovered an ancient ritual that would forever alter her bloodline—she wove enchantments into eggs laid beneath the eclipse's umbra, binding celestial forces into the unhatched owlets to grant them extraordinary abilities that could manifest as either radiant goodness or terrible malevolence depending on the character of each individual.
