Toriel Oken

Born into a merchant family that dealt in rare botanical specimens, Toriel Oken discovered an ancient grimoire hidden within his father's collection—one that detailed the summoning of otherworldly entities and the binding of life force through living plants. Drawn to the Yellow Septembers' ideology of reshaping civilization through strategic destruction, he abandoned his comfortable life to join their ranks, becoming their most zealous operative. His obsession with perfecting the art of summoning led him to develop a symbiotic relationship with the Telacrosts, creatures he could manifest through ritualistic incantation, effectively turning battlefields into arenas of controlled chaos. The restrictive magic he wields, a technique he calls the Butterfly Dome, transforms the very earth and flora around his enemies into a prison that slowly siphons their vital essence—a technique born from years of merging his botanical knowledge with forbidden arcane practices. Though his commitment to the organization's destructive agenda is unwavering, Toriel maintains an unusual accessibility with his fellow members, earning respect through his willingness to mentor younger recruits in the darker arts. His long hair and black robes adorned with yellow buttons have become a symbol of dread in the regions he frequents, marking him as the organization's most dangerous field agent. With each mission completed, Toriel grows closer to understanding the ultimate goal the Yellow Septembers have kept hidden—a revelation he suspects will change everything he believes about their cause.
