Undead Balor

Balor, once a mighty fire demon, had met his demise at the hands of powerful necromancers. But in a twisted turn of events, they did not allow him to rest in peace. Instead, they harnessed the essence of a venomous dragon, infusing Balor's resurrected form with the potent power of poison. His once-mighty flames were now replaced by a sickly, corrosive aura, and his weapon of choice transformed into a whip of pure toxin. Alongside this new toxic arsenal, Balor wielded a blade of lightning, a testament to the conflicting energies that now coursed through his decaying, yet formidable, body. This unholy fusion of elements and the necromancers' dark magic had created a being of unparalleled power and unnatural existence – the Undead Balor, a creature whose very presence threatened to corrupt and destroy all that it encountered.

Undead Balor makes three attacks: one with his Poison Whip and two with his Lightning Sword.

Poison Whip

Melee Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 25 (4d10) poison damage and the target must succeed on a DC 20 Constitution saving throw or be poisoned for 1 minute. The poisoned target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

Lightning Sword

Melee Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 30 (6d8) lightning damage. On a critical hit, the target must make a DC 20 Dexterity saving throw or be stunned until the end of its next turn.

Corrupting Breath (Recharge 5-6)

Undead Balor exhales a cloud of toxic gas in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 20 Constitution saving throw, taking 45 (10d8) poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Additionally, creatures that fail the save are poisoned for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

Necrotic Surge (Recharge 6)

Undead Balor channels necrotic energy, causing all creatures within 30 feet to make a DC 20 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, creatures take 40 (9d8) necrotic damage and are frightened until the end of their next turn. On a successful save, they take half damage and are not frightened.

Corrosive Aura

Any creature that starts its turn within 10 feet of Undead Balor takes 10 (3d6) poison damage.
