Underwear Gnome

Once a humble textile merchant in the underground markets of the Hollow Kingdoms, the Underwear Gnome discovered an ancient prophecy woven into a tapestry that spoke of untold riches hidden within the fibers of intimate garments, though the exact mechanism remained deliberately obscured by the prophecy's original author. Obsessed with deciphering this cryptic wealth-building method, he crafted his iconic pointed hat and shoes from enchanted materials to amplify his diminutive five-inch frame's magical resonance with fabric. Night after night, he ventured into the mortal realm above, compelled by forces he neither fully understood nor questioned, collecting undergarments with the precision of a jeweler acquiring diamonds. His long, tangled beard grew wild with each expedition, collecting threads and lint that he believed held the key to his financial ascension. Despite decades of meticulous collection and arrangement, the exact process by which his stolen stockpiles transformed into profit remained an enigma even to himself, yet the compulsion drove him forward regardless. Some whispered that the gnome himself was merely a vessel for an older, stranger magic—one that profited from human modesty in ways that defied rational explanation. Whether genius or madness, the Underwear Gnome persists in his peculiar enterprise, forever chasing the fortune that dances just beyond his comprehension.
