Wrenflow

Wrenflow was once a wandering ascetic who had devoted their life to mastering the balance between body and spirit, believing that enlightenment could be achieved through discipline and meditation rather than dogma. When a sudden plague of shadow creatures began consuming souls in their monastery during the darkest winter on record, Wrenflow attempted a forbidden ritual to commune with the ethereal plane and find a way to stop the darkness. The ritual succeeded but at a terrible cost—Wrenflow's physical body perished, yet their spirit refused to abandon the material world, becoming bound instead to a luminous, angelic form that burned with an inner radiance. Discovering that their newfound ethereal nature made them uniquely capable of pursuing the shadow entities into daylight hours when other spirits could not, Wrenflow embraced this unexpected path with reckless determination, abandoning the serene monastery life for a chaotic crusade across the realm. Guided by an unshakeable sense of duty rather than any celestial authority, they became a phantom warrior-monk, using their martial training and newfound spectral powers to hunt down Dark Shadow entities wherever they manifest, refusing to rest until every corrupted spirit is vanquished or redeemed. Though bound by death, Wrenflow remains defiantly free-spirited and unpredictable, answering to no higher power and choosing their own moral code over the rigid hierarchies of either heaven or the organized ghost realms.
