A Yarn Of The Necrothreads
This sinister artifact consists of shadowy, writhing threads that seem to absorb light around them, emanating an aura of dread and decay. Imbued with the essence of the undead dragon Momento Mori, these Necrothreads possess a terrible affinity for bone and skeletal structure. When wielded by one with sufficient will and dark knowledge, the threads grant dominion over the skeletal forms of both living and dead creatures, allowing the user to contort and manipulate their very bones into grotesque and unnatural configurations. The Necrothreads can be used to reanimate skeletal remains, transforming lifeless bones into ghastly puppets that obey the wielder's commands without question. Each use of the artifact's power draws upon the life force and vitality of the user, as Momento Mori demands a steep price for access to her dark gift. Those who wield these threads for extended periods report a creeping sensation of their own bodies becoming rigid and difficult to move, as if the dragon's influence spreads through them. The longer one possesses the Necrothreads, the greater the risk of losing one's own autonomy to the artifact's insatiable hunger for control. Even the most powerful wielders must exercise extreme caution, for Momento Mori guards her gift jealously and demands constant sacrifice from those bold or foolish enough to claim it.
