This slender bundle of silvery-gray incense is crafted from rare resins harvested near ancient burial grounds and forgotten crypts. When lit, the smoke rises in deliberate, purposeful patterns, coalescing into a visible path that hangs suspended in the air rather than dispersing naturally. The incense channels its primary enchantment, Path of the Departed, to guide lost spirits, lingering echoes, and trapped souls toward sanctuary and peace, while also briefly illuminating spectral footprints and indicating the direction of nearby incorporeal presences. The incense does not compel the dead to obey nor grant dominion over them—restless spirits may refuse to follow the smoke's guidance and will simply allow it to burn as an ordinary flame. A warning sign of danger manifests when hostile entities draw near: the falling ash reverses its course, rising upward in an eerie defiance of natural law.
