Hollowhorses are enigmatic undead steeds of considerable size, their forms constructed from an otherworldly luminescence known as Hollow Light and encased within thick plates of spectral bone. These creatures remain shrouded in mystery regarding their means of propagation, though sages have observed that herds of seven or more seem to spontaneously grow in number when unobserved by both the living and the unliving. In basic physiology they resemble warhorses, yet tower above them in stature and possess an unsettling translucent quality to their hollow frames. Rare specimens manifest with a singular spiraling horn or magnificent spectral wings, variants that prove even more formidable than the already dangerous Nightmares that roam the cursed lands. Unlike many undead abominations, Hollowhorses exhibit a surprising lack of indiscriminate hostility, attacking only those whose souls bear the taint of extreme moral corruption or virtue. When encountered in smaller groups or under direct observation, they maintain a demeanor of eerie detachment, seemingly content to exist beyond the comprehension of most creatures.
