Seed Of Desire

Created by Smiley

This crimson rose appears as an exquisite bloom of remarkable beauty, its velvety petals seemingly ordinary to the untrained eye. Yet those sensitive to supernatural forces perceive its true nature—beneath the delicate red exterior lies a grotesque, fleshy structure housing a singular, unblinking eye that observes all around it. When the flower's petals unfurl fully, rows of glistening teeth become visible within its blossom, a horrifying contrast to its otherwise elegant appearance. The rose possesses an uncanny sentience, trembling with agitation when exposed to powerful magical artifacts or entities of considerable supernatural power, reflexively concealing its terrible eye deep within its petals as though seeking refuge. Despite its genuinely abhorrent form, the rose's creator perceives it as nothing more than a perfectly ordinary flower—a beautiful token of genuine kindness and horticultural pride. This disconnect between perception and reality makes the item profoundly unsettling to those who know its true visage while remaining innocent and benign in the eyes of its maker.
