This crystalline vial contains the vital essence of N.O.X - The Viper, whose power once shook the foundations of the realm. The blood within shimmers with an iridescent red hue, perpetually warm to the touch, and seems to move of its own accord despite the sealed cork stopper. According to ancient lore, the Viper bestowed this precious vial upon a worthy recipient with a cryptic warning about the nature of possession and inevitability. When a creature attuned to this item is separated from it by more than one mile, the vial begins to emanate a faint magical resonance that grows stronger the greater the distance. The item cannot be permanently destroyed through conventional means, as The Viper's essence will slowly regenerate over time, eventually reforming the vial itself. A creature carrying The Viper's Blood gains reduction on saving throws against poison and resistance to poison damage. The item's most mysterious property manifests when the bearer falls unconscious; the vial will inexplicably return to them within 24 hours, no matter the obstacles or distance involved.
