The Visitorq
Woven from crimson silk, this standard bears a spectral mark: 4 stars forged from cosmic light, the sacred icon of the Supreme Flatty—sovereign of the Visitorq and monarch of ancient Tiāmat. According to chronicle and the solemn confessions wrung forth during Pontiff Cesare’s interrogation of the Visitorq Krul, this banner echoes the memory of an ancient entity: a supreme order that held mankind in thrall for millennia. The earliest recorded whispers of their passage trace back to the dawn of Sumer, inaugurating five thousand years of tyrannical dominion known to history as the Age of Arrogance. Whether these beings descended from the stars or awoke from the depths of the Earth remains veiled in mystery. Yet Krul revealed that every Visitorq is born with a primal talent, honed only through three grim avenues: Slaying a Visitorq of greater power than oneself. Bending kin into absolute subjugation. Receiving the adoration and worship due to a deity. Among their ranks, the ten most formidable were revered as the Rulers, entities whose latent power could warp and shatter the very laws of reality. History recalls only a portion of their names: Flatty, Zauli, Vidar, Zoraya, Glasse, Yamatagi, Orochi, and Krul—with two remaining lost to shadow. It is whispered that the divine pantheons of antiquity were but fractured memories of these ten beings. During the Age of Arrogance, Flatty bound the scattered Visitorq through slaughter and submission, forging Tiāmat—a global hegemony designed to shepherd humanity from the shadows toward a sinister destiny. Yet this grand dominion met a catastrophic end. Krul orchestrated a ruinous schism, causing the empire to collapse like a house of cards. From the ashes rose hostile, fractured remnants—chief among them Cocytus, a rebel legion led by Vidar, the Third Ruler. Sensing their oppressors' vulnerability, humanity rose up, plunging the world into a brutal, three-sided war. Exhausted by bloodletting, both Tiāmat and the rebellion dissolved into ruin, forcing the few survivors into hiding. The era that marked humanity’s victory and heralded their subsequent golden age became known as the Age of Decadence. Though the grandeur of this ancient race has faded into dust, persistent legends whisper that the ten Rulers endure still, abiding in the shadowed, forgotten corners of the world.
