The city's heart remains dominated by the colossal Neo-Ashwood Cathedral, its towering Gothic structure piercing through the fog like a monument to forgotten grandeur, its stained glass windows now flickering with bioluminescent overlays. Once home to millions during its industrial heyday, the city still thrums with activity despite its reduced population, its streets alive with commerce, street vendors hawking wares beneath flickering marquees, and maintenance crews working tirelessly to keep the aging infrastructure operational. The architectural marriage of wrought iron railings and fiber-optic cables creates a visual symphony across the cityscape—brass lampposts standing alongside holographic street signs, creating pockets of amber and cyan light that pierce the ever-present fog.
