Ravenholt Mental Hospital
Created by Grimly_Feindish170620Ravenholt Mental Hospital, once a beacon of hope and healing, now stands as a haunting relic of the past. Nestled amidst the rolling fields and ancient woodland of the region, this grand gothic mansion was the life's work of Lord Lucias Ravenholt, who dedicated himself to fighting the brain malady that claimed the life of his beloved wife, Lady Sarah. The estate's two wings and towering mullioned towers once welcomed those seeking solace and treatment, but as the graveyard surrounding the hospital grew, the house fell under its dark sway. The once-sturdy iron fence that guarded the grounds now lies twisted and overgrown, a testament to the passage of time and the abandonment that has claimed this once-esteemed institution. Rumors whisper of the restless spirits that linger within the crumbling walls, the echoes of those who sought relief but found only despair. The sound of anguished cries and the eerie glow of lights in the uppermost windows have deterred all but the most foolhardy from venturing near the Ravenholt Mental Hospital, a once-proud symbol of hope that has succumbed to the darkness it once fought to dispel.

Landmarks
The Ravenholt Family Crypt
Beneath the sprawling Ravenholt Mental Hospital lies the ancient crypt of the Ravenholt family. The heavy oak doors, once ornately carved, now hang open, their intricate designs worn away by time. The air within is thick with the scent of decay and the echoes of whispered prayers long forgotten. Crumbling stone sarcophagi line the walls, their occupants long since turned to dust. In the center of the crypt stands a towering statue of Lady Sarah Ravenholt, her marble features frozen in a serene expression. Adventurers who dare to explore this forgotten place may uncover clues about the Ravenholt family's tragic past and the dark secrets that haunt the halls of the mental hospital above.
The Ravenholt Family Chapel
Nestled in the heart of the Ravenholt Mental Hospital's grounds, the Ravenholt Family Chapel stands as a testament to the family's devotion and the hospital's spiritual purpose. The chapel's Gothic architecture, with its towering spires and intricate stained-glass windows, casts an ethereal glow over the surrounding graveyard. Inside, the chapel's pews are worn, and the altar is covered in a thick layer of dust, a reminder of the hospital's abandonment. However, the chapel's atmosphere remains serene, and the faint sound of a long-forgotten hymn can sometimes be heard echoing through the halls, drawing the curious and the brave to investigate its secrets.
