Silver Gate

Silver Gate is a remarkable and enigmatic structure. This majestic arch, crafted from shimmering steel and the rare metal mithril, stands as a testament to the extraordinary feats of ancient craftsmanship. The artifact seems to hum with a palpable magical energy, its central void glowing with a captivating silvery light. The huge black raven flies through the twilight sky towards the top of the broken mountain. Its wings silent in the hot, acrid air as its shining red eyes scan the ground. The raven dives into an opening, a cave, blacker than its feathers, blacker than shadows at midnight. Through the twists and turns of the rock the raven emerges into a cavern and perches upon an outcropping watching its master approach. The black robed hooded figure slowly walks out of the fumes and shadows trailed by five others, men chained and wasted by torture and fervent idolatry. The black robed figure's hands, only grey skin stretched taut over ancient bones, clench in impatience. The figure speaks in a raspy voice akin to the sound dry leaves scraping on stone, "What of the Arch in Kern?" The black raven screeches and its eyes flame red. Dalamar roars in fury looking up into the dark ceiling of the cavern, his own eyes matching the red of the raven's. The five men crumple to the ground dead purple mist flowing from their emaciated bodies into Dalamar's waiting hands. "Fools. The portals WILL be opened." Behind Dalamar a freestanding Silver Arch glows with a silver light streaked with black lightning.

A vast chamber adjacent to the Silver Gate, the Echoing Sanctum is adorned with intricate carvings that depict celestial events and ancient rituals. The walls resonate with a soft, melodic echo that seems to respond to the presence of visitors, creating an otherworldly atmosphere. Scholars believe this chamber may have served as a gathering place for rituals conducted in front of the Silver Gate, amplifying the magical energies of the arch.
