Centuries ago, his father count Bartolomeo sought to conquer the lands of Count von Deville, but was instead turned into a vampire himself. Seeking vengeance, Bartolomeo betrayed a local witch to the Inquisition, leading to a curse that decimated Tapisa's population for generations - his son Lorenzo was born a vampire and his court rebeled against Bartolomeo and killed him leaving Lorenzo to know later this story and hate mortals. Tapisa's landscape is divided between impoverished farming outskirts and the bustling artisan capital districts. At the heart of the county stands a grand domed structure where citizens gather to deliberate on important matters. Looming above it all is the imposing, Gothic-style fortress of Count Lorenzo, connected to the capital by a narrow bridge spanning a deep abyss. The castle is a grim, foreboding structure, guarded by the skeletal remains of Lorenzo's undead servants. Rumors abound of the count's dark bargains - he is said to demand the most beautiful virgin maiden in bridal dress be delivered to his domain, condemned to remain within his halls forever. Despite the county's troubled history, the resilient people of Tapisa persist, navigating the delicate balance between survival and the ever-present shadow of their immortal lord.
