The Ethereal Plane exists as a transcendent realm of reality, inhabited exclusively by four divine beings who have transcended mortality through either inherent godhood or magical ascension. Turo, a towering purple-skinned orc warrior of immense spiritual power, serves as the plane's psychopomp, guiding departed souls through their final journey beyond the veil of life. Altok, the eldest of these deities, rules from an incomprehensibly vast fortress that dominates the landscape—a gargantuan castle of impossible architecture that serves as the seat of his corrupted dominion, his immortality having twisted his once-noble nature into something deeply malevolent. Elysia embodies the creative force, her influence evident in the flourishing natural wonders that grace certain corners of the realm, though her domain remains contested against Altok's expanding corruption. The landscape itself defies conventional geometry, composed entirely of ethereal constructs that shift between states of being and dreaming, creating an endless vista of crystalline structures and impossible formations. The plane bathes perpetually in an otherworldly auroral glow of deep purples and violets, while magenta clouds drift languorously along the ground like spectral fog, creating an atmosphere both beautiful and unsettling. Elorix, once a fourth god of considerable influence, was stripped of his corporeal form and cast down to the physical world by Turo's judgment, his cursed soul left to wander in anguished hunger for a vessel to inhabit. This divine punishment has fractured Elorix's mind, transforming him into a tormented entity consumed by desperation and madness, forever seeking redemption or vengeance depending on which aspect of his fractured consciousness holds dominion.
