The Mabuhay Region
The Mabuhay Region stands as a vibrant archipelago of over seven thousand islands, earning its distinction as the Pearl of Asia through a unique blend of natural splendor and cultural richness. This sprawling territory bears the geographical hallmarks of a tropical paradise, with its largest islands serving as centers of thriving civilization while countless smaller atolls and islets remain home to diverse ecosystems and rare Pokémon species found nowhere else in the world. The region's distinctive Pokémon fauna reflects centuries of cultural exchange, featuring creatures native to both the Paldean and Alola regions alongside entirely indigenous species, creating an unparalleled biodiversity that draws researchers and trainers alike. Centuries of Paldean colonial influence have left an indelible mark on local customs, particularly in the beloved culinary tradition of preparing succulent Lechonk meat dishes that remain central to regional cuisine and celebrations. The legendary folklore speaks of ancient shape-shifting Pokémon, particularly Zorua and its evolved form Zoroark, whose tales of mystical transformation continue to captivate the imagination of inhabitants and visitors. The Bicol volcanic zone represents both a natural wonder and a vital resource, its geothermal energy powering the region's electricity generation while Guardian Pokémon maintain eternal vigilance to shield the islands from catastrophic disasters. The competitive spirit thrives throughout the Mabuhay Region, where aspiring trainers undertake the prestigious championship challenge across eight gym leaders and four elite trainers, earning distinctive basketball uniforms as symbols of their journey. Island hideouts serve as gathering places where trainers engage in strategic flag-capture competitions, while the beloved Hallo Hallo dessert tradition—a delightful mixture of berries, cheese, and ice cream—brings communities together in shared joy and festivity. {The Mabuhai Region is composed of several main islands but it has around 7 thousand small islands. It is similar to the geography of the Philippines except that it is in the Pokémon world. It has unique regional Pokémons where some belong to the Paldea region and the Alola region. Because of being a Paldean colony for a few centuries, the population loves eating porc meat from the Pokémon named Lechonk. This region is known as the pearl of Asia. There are several folklore legends of shape shifting Pokémons similar to the legendary Fox shape shifter Zorua that evolves into Zoroark. Before metal swords were introduced in the region, warriors and fighting type Pokémons were using bamboo sticks that were effective against the Paldean's Pokémon such as Armarouge and Ceruledge. Pokémon trainers here have a fun dessert activity called Hallo Hallo where berries, cheese and ice-cream are placed together to be mixed together and eat it. The Bicol area has an active volcano where electricity is generated by steam from the geothermal energy provided by the volcano. Guardian Pokémons guard certain islands to protect the region from natural disasters but brave Trainers would challenge them to recruit them in their team. Trainers would build a secret hideout in one of the islands where their flag is placed for other trainers to capture like capture the flag. There is 8 gyms and 4 elite trainers before challenging the champion. Basketball uniforms are given to challengers of the region.} Note: I couldn't place everything from the different regions of this archipelago. Therefore I went with a general description. I'd probably make the Bicol region where by memory there was a folklore of a brave warrior who united the tribes of the region and the shape shifter creature became attached to that warrior. It would make me think of how the Hisui region was in the game Pokémon Arceus. Check the funny short video in YouTube from Terminal Montage about the cute Paldean Pokémons. You'll laugh out loud.

Landmarks
The Bamboo Warrior's Arena
A sprawling open-air training ground nestled on one of the larger central islands, featuring towering groves of ancient bamboo that frame multiple combat rings carved from polished stone. The arena is meticulously maintained with vibrant banners in regional colors hanging between bamboo poles, and trainers can be seen daily practicing with their fighting-type Pokémon using traditional bamboo sticks that have been passed down through generations. Stone bleachers surrounding the main ring are filled with spectators watching intense matches, while smaller training circles branch off into the bamboo forest where the sound of wooden strikes against Pokémon echoes throughout the day. This legendary training ground stands as a testament to the region's proud warrior heritage before the introduction of metal weapons.
The Geothermal Beacon of Bicol
A magnificent power generation facility built directly adjacent to an active volcanic crater in the Bicol area, where massive steam vents rise continuously into the tropical sky and feed into an intricate network of gleaming copper and steel pipes that distribute electricity throughout the region. The facility features observation platforms with reinforced railings where visitors can safely witness the raw power of geothermal energy being harnessed, and the surrounding landscape is dotted with smaller thermal pools that glow with mineral-rich waters in shades of turquoise and amber. Guardian Pokémon can often be spotted resting near the volcanic peaks, their silhouettes framed against the constant plumes of steam, and the entire complex hums with the steady rhythm of turbines and the occasional rumble of the volcano beneath. This thriving energy hub represents the perfect harmony between the region's natural forces and the ingenuity of its people.
