The Palace

Suspended majestically above the Upper City, The Palace floats upon clouds that have been crystallized through ancient arcane rituals, serving as the ethereal seat of the Galastasian Empire for over three centuries. The island's vast expanse contains magnificent marble structures adorned with gold filigree, interconnected by graceful bridges of woven moonstone that shimmer in perpetual twilight. Elaborate fountains throughout the grounds feature enchanted mermaids whose songs are said to bring prosperity to the empire, their waters flowing upward in defiance of natural law. The royal family maintains a fleet of ornate air yachts that drift lazily through the sky, pulled by teams of majestic dragons whose scales reflect the shifting colors of sunset. Herds of silver-horned unicorns roam the meticulously cultivated gardens, their presence a symbol of the realm's divine favor and magical abundance. The Palace employs thousands of servants, mages, and artisans who maintain its splendor, and visiting nobles and dignitaries regularly ascend via enchanted elevators to conduct imperial business. Recent decades have seen flourishing festivals and grand celebrations held within The Palace's amphitheaters, drawing merchants and performers from across the known world. The constant hum of magical activity, combined with the gentle songs of mermaids and the distant calls of dragons, creates an atmosphere of wonder that reinforces the Galastasian Empire's position as the world's preeminent power.
