If a creature resonates with the magic signature, it will be successfully summoned as a familiar. The familiar will remain by the caster's side for 12 hours per summon and can only be summoned once per day. The summoned familiar will forever be bound to the caster's essence, always appearing as the same creature. However, if the caster mistreats the familiar, it will turn on them and seek to regain its freedom by any means necessary, including potentially turning against the caster. The Astral Familiar spell requires a strong bond of respect and trust between the caster and their summoned familiar in order to maintain a harmonious relationship.
