Spell

Red Eye Boost

Created by Draz

This cantrip, known exclusively among the operatives of the M.J.C.C., harnesses the potent energies of espresso and amplifies them through arcane means, infusing the caster's body with an intense surge of magical stimulation. The spell manifests visibly as the whites of the eyes flood with crimson veins, a telltale mark of the enhancement coursing through the user's system. For up to 12 hours following the casting, the recipient experiences dramatically heightened perception and mental acuity, allowing for improved cognitive processing and reflexive action that grants bonuses to perception checks, Intelligence-based tasks, and Dexterity rolls. Additionally, the spell renders the caster immune to sleep effects and exhaustion during this period, enabling sustained activity without rest. However, this extraordinary boost comes at a significant cost—once the spell's duration expires, the user suffers from profound fatigue and diminished capacity, imposing disadvantage on all ability checks and attack rolls until they complete a long rest. The dependency on this spell among M.J.C.C. workers has become something of a necessary burden in their demanding area of expertise.
