Rotting Curse

Created by Nullzero

This curse summons a corrosive, necrotic energy that targets the very fabric of organic and inorganic matter. When cast, the spell unleashes a wave of decay that rapidly spreads across its targets. Metal objects quickly succumb to rusting, their once-sturdy forms crumbling into dust. Perishable goods, such as food and plant life, spoil and rot at an accelerated pace, becoming inedible and toxic. The true horror of this curse, however, lies in its effect on living creatures. As the energy seeps into the body, it slowly eats away at the victim's flesh and organs, causing excruciating pain and a gradual deterioration of their physical form. The unlucky target's skin may blacken and slough off, their muscles and bones weakening until they can no longer support the body's weight.

Effects

Upon casting, choose a target within range. The target must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the target takes 3d10 necrotic damage at the start of each of its turns for the duration. On a successful save, the target takes half damage. If the target is a living creature, it suffers from the effects of decay, causing its skin to blacken and slough off, and it has disadvantage on Constitution saving throws for the duration.
